MCT:August 27, 2008I admit I watched this for hating it & I expected it to be a crappy movie like Transformers I mean just a few cool scenes and nothing more but little did I know it was really good, Interesting characterization I mean the main character, stunning visuals & a good underlying concept, McAvoy is also great & perfect for the role, Nonetheless the story has some serious flaws and unconvincing moments

MCT:August 27, 2008Wanted did not look good. When I first saw the poster, and heard the film explained to me, I was completely the opposite of convinced. In fact, I vowed I would not see it. But then the word of mouth poured in along with the huge opening weekend box office, and people were starting to say that Wanted was actually pretty good. This is because Wanted is delivered very much in the style of last year's action should-have-been-a-hit Shoot Em Up. Shoot Em Up is a personal favorite because the movie doesn't take itself seriously one bit, and it exploits the fact that it's not taking itself seriously to make itself as awesome and hilarious as possible. Wanted is about halfway there. The whole movie has a tongue-in-cheek feel to it, whether the characters are breaking the fourth wall, or the elements of exposition are becoming so fucking ridiculous that you can't help but let out a pained chuckle (namely when McAvoy's keyboard face slam jettisons the appropriate letters to spell out "Fuck You" in keys flying at the camera). Which brings me to the effects, which are awesome. Nothing like the Matrix ground breaking, but they have a style of their own, and it works. The film looks a little bit like a high-octane video game... something is a little off in every scene making it not quite realistic, but its consistant, and it adds to the overall atmosphere of the film. It also lets it get away with a pretty hefty amount of gritty violence, because its presented very much in a video game like fashion. You may have noticed that all I've talked about so far are the special effects, the action, and the humor of the movie... That's cause there's nothing more to Wanted. There's a shoe-string plot that threads it all together, which is barely taken from the graphic novel that the movie shares its name with, and involves a device called the "Loom of Destiny." Yea, see. Wanted is about balls to the wall summer effects action mixed in with some goofy, dark, murderous action and Morgan Freeman yelling "Shoot this mother fucker." Those not interested in the above need not apply.

I know is a crapmovie, but i don't care! i liked it! the action scenes were great from the SPFX point of view. If you're searching for something with logic, this isn't the case. Great to watch with your friends.

At first, I have to say I really like that movie. I was eager to watch "Wanted" and waited patiently. I've heard it was great and the actor "James McAvoy" is cool, one of my favorite actress "Angelina Jolie" is so hot.The action is incredible. Then I can't bear to wait. Then I watched. I was very satisfied after watching.
In the story James MacAvoy as Wesley Gibson is a accountant manager works in a small company. His friend always said "You are the man". It means all the people around him think he is like a gay and he is afraid. Actually he has upnormal heartbeat that nobody can't have. That was inherited by his father.
After he met with Angelina Jolie as Fox at store and his life was changed oppositely.
She took him to the master of Fraternity Morgan Freeman as Sloan and he arrived between their lies.
You can see the story is tricky nearly to the end. My fav things from the movie is the bullet they shot. It's amazing and impossible. It's fully action. I also like the ending. Af first I think Wasley can't kill Sloan. But later he can. That must be like that. James McAvoy and Jolie make my eyes cannot close.
I don't say this movie is flawless but it takes place all the themes and the cast nearly perfect. -

I'm too tired to review it right now but it was not at all as I expected it to be. It was much better =)

This movie had it all. It was somewhat predictable but enough originality to keep you interested. There were some "stolen" parts from e.g. the matrix but it didn't really bother me because I felt they made most of it into their own thing. I love the way the story is told and the way it is shot. I think they have used some different ways in these areas which works really well.
It has flaws but I really don't mind because it is so amazing and the music is incredible -

The story is GREAT! Besides it has Angelina Jolie, so it's REALLY GOOD.
There are some problems with the effects, and there are some poor acting too (not Angelina, she acts perfectly). But the story is pretty deep and it has some unsuspected twists and great finish!
It's deffinitly a mus see... specially if you like Angelina -

this has one of the best soundtracks of the year. Though the story is flawed the action sequences, and cast make up for the lack of complexity in the plot.
It is as any action film should be, full of twists, turns and thrills and is a must see. Its good to see mc avoy in something other then a romantic or dramatic role. -

i rate it 4 and a half star coz the idea of curving the bullet is unfathomable.

Would have been 1 but the last 30 mins was okay but still didn't make it an overall great film for me, most parts were really cheesy, and I didn't like many of the concepts to this film.

Very stylish and entertainin.. it had some really cool action scenes and just loved it.. even though logically its quite hard to digest..
but i would recommend this movie for those who love real action movies.. awesome watch.. -

The plot was lacking, the ending pointless. Cool stunts but stunts don't make a good movie by themselves. Worst A.J. movie I've seen to date.

Very good story line. The action scenes very thrilling. All film goers must view the movie. If any one miss the film, that means missing a wonderful experience.

I do want to see it, but i feel like im goin to be disapointed. I got the comic ( which if one of the best series i have read ), & the casting seems a bit...fucked up. Fox was a black chick who looks exactly like Halle Berry & Wesley looks like a taller Eminem. Im not sure who plays who in the other characters but it will seem weird watching it. But i do hope they kept characters like Fuckwit ( worlds greatest super-hero with the down syndrome ) & Shithead ( made from the shit of 666 most evil villians, like Hitler & Ed Gein )
